Came here after I left Fire and Smoke without ordering. A mismatch between online and actual menus there, plus a snide response from the bartender, and I chose to walk out. Great bar service at Lakeside, and their $37 ribeye was as good as any sub $40 steak as I've had eating out. Oh yeah, great view!!
Tonight, we dined here for dinner. First of all the view was fabulous. My GF ordered the special which was swordfish and I ordered one of the house specialties, crab cakes. Both of our entrees were spot on and our service was excellent.
Interior was very nice and the hostesses/hosts were very friendly. Server seemed distracted when dealing with us. We never even got a bread basket even though other tables around us received them. Food was good. The pasta portions were giantic, ribs were fall of the bone and the burger was delicious.
My husband and I came for Valentine's Day this year. As usual, the crab cakes are delicious. The bread is good and the crème brûlée was yummy. We got the strawberry cake and brought it home for the kids, it was good. The servers were nice and the ambiance and outside the lake is beautiful.
Hurry while the weather is so nice! First, ask for any outside table and enjoy a great view, then ask for Sydney. Like Tyson, she is just plain awesome! Then order the chicken pasta which comes with a big salad or the salmon, which can actually be blackened if requested (all the better). Once again, the portions are enormous. This place has a view of the lake. So relaxing and enjoyable. We did notice another guest dealing with a yellow jacket and actually getting stung! The employees were on it trying to figure out where the nest is so that should get fixed. We had the bread as an appetizer and the swordfish and shrimp with sides of rice, mashed potatoes and broccoli for dinner. All were very good. The mashed potatoes were with the skins - so very good! Our waitress Nicole was very attentive too. She told us that they have drink specials during the week so we will have to return sometime. Check it out! They have both indoor and outdoor seating.
Over all the food was delicious. I love both of our meals. The crab cake was full of crab meat. The pasta very flavorful. We went for happy hour and the drinks were great! Our waitress was very attentive. The only negative is that our waitress kept brining us the wrong check. I'm not joking, we got 6 different checks before we paid for our correct portion we ordered. Our order wasn't complicated we each got a meal and one drink. It was odd, I would like to think it was genuine mistake each time and not trying to rip us off. Over all a very lovely experience!
This place has a great view and good food. My friend and I had to wait a while on a Saturday night, but I wasn't super hungry anyway. We were seated at a very large table, which was a little awkward. I got a frozen drink that was very good. The bread they provide has some very tasty butter. I got the sirloin with mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. The salad was good and so were the mashed potatoes. The sirloin was ok. It was a little tough and hard to cut despite ordering it as rare. The menu is quite large, so there are plenty of options for everyone.
